New Fabric: July

I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend! We spent the weekend hanging out with family and friends, swimming, boating, golfing and eating way too much food!

I want to share some of the new collections that arrived in our shop over the past few weeks.

The last few bolts of Flea Market Fresh by Cathe Holden For Moda have arrived. I love the purple in this cool vintage feeling collection!

Dance in Paris by Zen Chic is here as well. Carrie made this fun quilt from the book Stripology Mixology, it just takes a Jelly Roll plus some background Fabric.

Boudoir by Basic Grey arrived at the end of May and has been selling really quickly! Carrie made a Moda Love Quilt with the collection and we love how it turned out. She used a Charm Pack to make it table topper size but it would be a great quilt made with the 10" squares as well.

Powerplay from Benartex is a fantastic hockey themed line. I haven't shown this to my boys yet, or I am sure all four would be requesting a quilt from it.

Adventure is Calling is new as well. This collection was designed by Dani Mogstad for Riley Blake and it has been really popular. This one comes with a navy panel and a green panel which makes for a quick project. We also put together some Baby Tumbler Quilt Kits together with this collection and they are available in the shop and on our website.

We have a few new Art Gallery Lines as well.
Sunburst is exactly how it sounds, a burst of summer and sunshine. Esther is working on a beach blanket with this one and we will have kits available soon.

Boscage by Katarina Rocella is a great mix of prints and deep colors.

And for all those that have been waiting we have finally received some new flannels. There are more than 40 new prints and colors to choose from. But shop quick because Flannel always seems to sell quickly.

Have a wonderful week! Carrie will be here on Thursday to share the next block in her quilt along, and next Monday I will be going over the next set of blocks for The Bonnie and Camille Quilt Bee.

New Fabric

Happy Tuesday, I hope you had a great long weekend, our family spent a lot of time at the lake which was wonderful. It has been awhile since I have posted new fabric on here, but I have lots to share tonight.
From Art Gallery we have Mr Domestic's new collection, Catch and Release, lots of fun prints and blues and whites in this line.
From Sweet Bee Designs we have Thrive, a soft color palette with pretty succulents and florals, and a shot of pink. Carrie redid her bathroom with this collection, making a new window valence, shower curtain and bath mat.
We have a new Glamping collection by Anne Rowan for Camelot. I have a quilt all cut out and ready to sew for this group. The only thing stopping me from sewing it up is that a bolt of Toronto Raptors fabric came in as well, and I showed it to my boys and now they have some big wish lists.
So from the Raptors fabric I am sewing up some mesh bags, towels to match, pencil cases for school and lanyards. There is a little bit of fabric left on the bolt if you want to get some, but you better hurry before my boys come with more ideas they could use it for.
There is also two new collections from Stof, one is called Wolly Bear and the other is Rocky Raccoon. I love the colors in both of these lines and the prints are pretty great too.

Also on the more juvenile side is Teddy's Great Adventure. Esther made up a tumbler quilt with this and included the border panel as an additional row in the quilt. With the bright colors and the fun cars, planes, palm trees and spaceships this line is so fun!
Another Christmas line came in, this one is Aurora by Kate Spain for Moda. Esther is planning on making a house quilt with this one and I think it is going to turn out looking amazing.

We got some new ombre and ombre metallics instore a little while back but I don't think I shared them here yet. The color is light in the middle and runs darker out to each selvage so you get the full color range with a fat quarter, but we did also make 10" rollups of these, so you get a 10" width of fabric cut, same yardage as a fat quarter just cut differently. There are a lot of fun patterns being released for these ombres.

And still in the plastic is Blooming Beauty from Kanvas. I love the purples and pinks in this grouping and can't wait to see it all laid out.
New from Accuquilt are 4 dies all of which would make some really cool quilts!
There is lots more new collections in store so make sure you come check us out.

As a reminder we have our Fall Class Reveal happening next week Wednesday evening (August 14). It is an open house event which runs from 7pm - 9pm. The samples for almost all of the classes and clubs will be on display an you can come ask us questions and sign up for any that interest you.
Have a great week,
Kayla

New Fabric

There have been a lot of boxes delivered since the start of the New Year. And I must say they have been opened to reveal some gorgeous new fabrics.
We have 5 new collections from Art Gallery, a new Moda line, one from RJR, another from Studio E, and a collection from Benartex as well. Some of these companies are not super well know names, but we have carried there fabrics in our shop for quite some time now.
From Art Gallery we have Sun Kissed designed by Maureen Cracknell, this collection brings back all the perfect summer memories. The bright blue pool water, tiled pool decks, blooming flowers, and the perfect floral sundress.

Pat Bravo has designed 40 fabric lines in the past 14 years, and her latest brings all her favorites and best sellers into one gorgeous collections that is Legendary. The bold fuschia pink, emerald green and mustard yellow mix beautifully together, in large and small print florals and various geometric designs.
Aura was designed by Matthew Bordeaux after his recent trip to Hawaii with his daughter. Everything from the colors to the prints bring you away on an Island adventure. I personally have fallen in love with the turtle print on the purple background. It is so perfect.

Art Gallery will often take prints from their various designers and combine them together into mini themed collections. Silk Road and Art District are two of these Fusion Collections.

Silk Road is a collection centered around the ancient asian arts of brushwork, ink and fiberworks. The prints as well the red, black and white coloring make this an elegant fusion.
Art District is just what it sounds like, a collection themed around every cities bright and colorful Art District with the occasional cat and ice cream cone thrown into the mix.

Gingiber has developed a new line for Moda. This one is called Farm Fresh. It has panels of farm animals, and a variety of prints in red, teal, white, grey and black. We also have 3 different patterns available for this fabric and they are all really fun. Esther is hoping to refresh her kitchen for spring with this line.

From RJR we have a new line called Retro Road Trip by Sue Marsh. This collection looks pretty much exactly as how I pictured it when I heard the name. The retro camping trailers, the fun Diner Road signs and the colors all work together to create this fun line! I am contemplating making new valences for my kitchen windows with the Diner Signs Print.
Into the Woods is a new collection from Studio E. It is a new take on the popular Wood Land Theme, combining bright colors with modern black and white prints. The panel in this line is very cool, and needs only a border or two to make a nice quilt.
From Benartex we have a line called My Happy Place, and brings together our favourite items from our sewing rooms. Prints with sewing machines, buttons and words of wisdom in pinks blues, yellow and greens bring a smile to your face.
As a bonus I have one more collection to share, this one is called Whisper, and features gold, black and white prints that are all quite soft.
As always there are even more new collections in store and on their way.
Carrie and Taylor spent the majority of their Christmas Break from school changing up the location of almost every single bolt of fabric in our shop, so make sure you come in to see all the changes that have happened as well.
I wish you a great weekend, we are going to spend ours trying to get rid of the Flu Bug that is slowly making its way through each member of our house,
